On June 9, 2023, 36Kr released the "2023 Most Founder-Friendly Investors/nvestment Institutions" directory.

Starting in March this year, the 36Kr Venture Capital Research Institute collected investment institution data through questionnaire surveys, data platforms, and other multi-channel methods, communicating with and visiting entrepreneur groups for cross-verification.

Regarding data, 36Kr focused on: number and total amount of fundraising; number and total amount of investment projects, number of lead investment projects, number of star projects; growth of projects under management, paper returns; as well as exit methods (IPO exits, other exits) and actual exit distributions. It's worth mentioning that this survey questionnaire treated each fund managed by investment institutions and each project as key observation subjects, penetrating to individual transactions, forming four progressive levels: "institution-fund-project-transaction."
